Set in Mumbai 9 years after the Bombay of BACK SEAT, FRONT SEAT is a completely new tale. Nikita, a one-time bar dancer, re-enters the orbit of the city she hates but ironically feels the safest in, after a near fatal encounter in Sona Gachi. She soon meets Siddharth, a novelist, whose goal is to fritter away the remnants of his consciousness and existence, distracting himself from a deep pain of loss by spending time in the world of alcohol, drugs and paid sex. And another deal is struck. But this time Nikita thinks she has less to lose. She couldn't have been more wrong.
Reviews:-
"Riding on the sheer chutzpah and magnetism of its protagonist, Front Seat takes the city of Mumbai by the scruff of the neck and refuses to let go. One suspects that Kripalani was born to write The Great Mumbai Movie, and when that happens, you'll want to be there at the premiere. But until then, read Front Seat, or better still, make it a double bill with Back Seat." - THE SUNDAY GUARDIAN.
"Kripalani has woven yet again an intricate tale capturing the spirit of Mumbai and looks deep into its sensitive soul. (Kripalani) gets into his characters' mind, speaks with their voice and sees with their eyes." - DNA
