The 11th edition of Bengaluru Book Fair (BBF) will be held between December 19‐28 at Elaan Convention centre in south Bengaluru. The journey of Bengaluru Book Fair (BBF) started in the year 2003 with a vision to provide a wide platform for publishers, authors and book lovers. "Over a million books in 250 stalls on subjects are expected to draw over one lakh visitors during the fest," Nitin S Shah, President, Bangalore Booksellers and Publishers Association (BBPA), told reporters.
The fair after a hiatus last year, now BBF‐Version 11.0, promises to bring to namma Bengaluru the best of reads and digitised forms from around the globe at a single internationally‐styled, he added. BBF has planned a promotional campaign that includes inter‐school, inter collegiate quizzes, music and painting competitions, debates, jam sessions, painting.
"The purpose in targeting youth is to encourage them to return to book‐reading along with their Internet surfing," said Ullasa Kumar, Treasurer, BBPA.
