Description of The Shadow of the Crescent Moon (English)(Paperback) by  Fatima Bhutto

The whole story takes place in a span of one cold and rainy day. Mir Ali is a small town that is close to the tribal areas of Pakistan and not too far from the Afghan border. Three brothers decide to meet for their morning meal. After eating, they go their separate ways. The oldest brother, who recently returned from America, takes a taxi to the mosque. The second brother checks in at the hospital. The youngest of the three goes for a ride on his motorbike with a pretty girl sitting behind him. The girl is constantly thinking about the war. The day goes on like any other day, but at the end of the next three hours, all three find themselves in critical conditions.
