Book Summary of Horn Ok Please: Hopping to Conclusions
Kartik
Iyengar and his friends undertake a fun-filled and eye-opening journey
across the length and breadth of India. Full of pithy Facebook slang
and humour, the book would be an ideal beach read .
Fast-paced and irreverent in tone, Horn Ok Please: Hopping to Conclusions is a fictionalized account of an all-India road trip that three friends; Chief Redbull, Goose Goldsmith and Derek Demonia, embark on their SUV, Motormouth.
The no holds barred cross-country road trip that these daredevils undertake, forever changes their perception about India and Indians.
Kick-starting from traffic-congested Bangalore, to sailing through the coastal beauty of Kanyakumari, to cutting across Rajasthan’s deserts, till their slow ascent to Leh’s picturesque panorama, the 'morons’ do it all. The crowning glory of their journey happens when they meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Peppered with Facebook slang and tongue-in-cheek humour, the narrative is rich with sharp and witty observations of a prosperous country called India 2.0.
About the Author
Kartik Iyengar, besides being a successful corporate professional, is also an avid blogger, a self-proclaimed moron, an unlucky Las Vegas loser, a compulsive road hog, and an adrenaline junkie who has tried everything from scuba diving to bungee jumping. A heavy metal maniac, he has thousands of hyperactive 'hopper’ fans on Facebook.

This man Kartik Hopper Iyengar has already made waves even before the launch and now just everyone seems to know him.The book is an amazing journey....looks like Chief, Goose and Derek had a wonderful time during their journey.....Its just not been all fun for them...loads of hardship during their journey....but they were determined to make their journey a success come what may!
ReplyDeleteThe best part of the book being.......Its hilarious, the way they have described women from a man's point of view and vice versa, their harships in the Desert of Rajasthan, their fun in Goa and just everythng about the book....every line, every paragraph and every page is loads of humour by itself......I laughed like crazy......I really thought I forget to laugh in the last couple of years.......
What moved me was these guys meeting His Holiness The Dalai Lama ---aren't they totally blessed..how many of us get to meet Dalai Lama and huge cause behind doing this amazing Road trip called a JOURNEY!
I love this book. There's loads of hardship gone in writing this book.......Whatever, its a huge success and I will stand by these causes come what may.....Thats what I have decided after reading this BOOK......HOP ROCKS !!
