Batik Rain is a collection of six short stories that explore the theme of cross-cultural conflict and displacement, as characters search for their moorings. This collection of delicately nuanced stories journeys from the lush rice fields of Bali, to the by lanes of Hyderabad and Pune, to Washington, USA. Written in an evocative literary style, the personal angst of the protagonists is sensitively etched through poignant personal stories.
