Punjabi Parmesan (Hardcover) by Pallavi Aiyar

Description of Punjabi Parmesan (Hardcover) by Pallavi Aiyar
Europe in 2009 a state of crisis. A condition in which no one knows what to do or how to react anymore. Pallavi Aiyar moved to Brussels in that year the headquarter of the European Union and finds herself in a state of chaos and confusion. She sees Indians thriving everywhere and then there is the contrast of them not doing so well.

Punjabi Parmesan is a result of that reportage. Pallavi speaks with people from various walks of life and what comes to fore are conversations with people and their way of living. Punjabi Parmesan is a mix of everything a travelogue, a commentary on history and politics and also a view of a person, trying to make sense of everything around her. The writing is not difficult to grasp and Aiyars use of anecdotes makes this one an interesting read.
