It is a good news for us that the IIT Kharagpur launches the PGDBA Business Analytics program along with IIM Kolkata and Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata. It is very usefull program that who want to become a business analytics professional or want to learn business analytics program in depth with practical manner. The aim of the program is creating business analytics professionals by giving students cutting-edge inter-disciplinary educational experience. Really this is good news right?.
Program Overview
Students will visit the three institutions – Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Each of the three institutes will focus on a separate area of business analytics, in accordance with its expertise and competence. While coursework at IIM Calcutta will focus on the application of analytics in functional areas, ISI Kolkata will bring to the table its expertise in statistical and machine learning theories for analytics, and faculty at IIT Kharagpur will engage with the technology aspects of analytics. In addition, the students will be required to do an internship of six months duration on an analytics project in a business organization. The programme is strictly residential for the components at IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. Residential requirement is not mandatory for ISI Kolkata. Each institute will arrange board and lodging arrangements for the students subject to availability.
Students successfully graduating from the programme will be expected to join organizations working in the area of analytics. Those interested in higher studies may pursue doctoral or other advanced studies in areas related to analytics.

Who all are eligible to this program?
1. A candidate must hold a graduate/post graduate degree with a minimum of 10+2+4 years of formal education. Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they complete their formal education as specified above by June 30, 2015.
2. A candidate must have a valid score for at least one of the following examinations:
CAT: CAT 2014 held in November 2014.
GMAT: Score not earlier than 2 years from April 17, 2015
GRE: Score not earlier than 2 years from April 17, 2015
GATE: Score not earlier than 2 years from April 17, 2015
OR Qualified for any Masters level entrance examinations conducted by ISI not earlier than 3 years from April 17, 2015.
A candidate may provide multiple scores for the above qualifying examinations. The score that maximizes the chance for selection will be considered.
