When a dark magician tries to gain immortality by summoning Death, he makes a big mistake. Instead, he summons Death's younger brother, Dream. The magician fears that he will have to pay a price for his blasphemy, so he imprisons Dream and takes away his totems of power. Years later, Morpheus, the being known as Dream, manages to escape, damning his captor to an eternal sleep filled with nightmares. Now free, Dream returns to his world, and he begins hunting down his totems. He needs to track down those who pilfered them and make them pay for their betrayal. The world has changed in his absence and he must regain control over his realm, or the balance of the universe will be at stake. Dream is depressed at his loss of control, but he is not alone in his consolation. His elder sister comes to talk him out of his depression, and she talks of the changes in the world in the decades of his absence. However, how would a person feel about life when Death is his older sister?
